How We Met

Gary and I met through our little brothers. They played together for many years on the same travel baseball team. I had heard stories for years about Gary, but had never met him. After he moved back home he started to come to the boys games whenever he could. I always thought that he was a nice guy, but didn't really know him that well. At one of the games I was wearing my Hope College Sweatshirt and he asked if I went to home. Gary's High School best friend went there, and we started to talk about him, and realized that we had a connection. The following weekend was the 4th of July, Gary and I were both left at home to house sit our parents houses while they were at a baseball tournament that weekend. We spent the whole weekend together and then were pretty attached at the hip until we found out that I was expecting only 4 months later!! Now we have the most amazing baby girl in the world! :)

Our Perfect Little Family

Will you marry me...

The one things that Gary and I didn't want to do was get married just because of our daughter. We had talked about marriage and had even gone and looked at rings a few times but I honestly had no idea the proposal was coming.

We were up in Traverse City Michigan for one of my Sorority Sister's weddings, the morning after the wedding a group of my sorority sisters and Gary walked down to the beach. When we got down there he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him in front of everyone! It was perfect :)
